Dededo has famous sites that you should not miss.

Tangguisson Beach
Located on the western coast of the island, and the adjacent Hilaan area were sites of ancient Chamorro settlements. This is an excellent location for snorkeling. The clifflines behind the coastal areas elevate over 100 feet, while the surrounding area has been relatively undisturbed and offers a wide variety of flora native to Guam.

Summer Activities for Children at the Astumbo Gym
Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to join our sessions that will run from 8 am to 5 pm, on June 14 to 25 and July 5 to 16. Registration fee is $50 per child. Call the mayor's office for more details.

The Dededo Thursday night market is open 5:30 to 10 pm every Thursday at the Lencho Park.

Dededo Flea Market
Transactions for the Dededo Flea Market are from 8 am till noon of Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Dededo Library is currently having Story Hour on Saturdays from 10am to 12 noon.
 
The Dededo Mayor’s Office will sponsor a Summer Camp program for children ages 5 to 13.  There will be three 2-week 
session camps.  The first session will be held from June 13 to 24, 2005 from 8 am to 5 pm.  The second session period is from July 4 to 15, 2005 and third session will run from July 25 to August 5, 2005.  The cost for each session is $75 per child.  This camp will focus on Drug Free Prevention programs tied in with sports and environmental activities.  Each session is limited to 50 participants.  For more information, residents can call the Mayor’s Office.
 
The Department of Parks & Recreation Dededo Sports Complex on Harmon Loop Road is also sponsoring a summer camp for children with three 3-week session.  Session I: June 6 to 24; Session 2: June 27 to July 15; and Session III: July 18 to August 5.  The cost for each session is $125 per child.  Parents/ Guardian can call Sports Complex at 635-2520/21 for more information.
 
Recycling of aluminum cans and cardboard boxes continues in Dededo.  These items can be taken to the Astumbo Gym 
Monday through Saturday from 3pm to 8pm.
 
Village beautification will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at 7:30 am.  Please call the Mayor’s office if you would like to volunteer your time or donate some plants for this project.

Shell Youth Drug Free Basketball League will begin on April 9th until July 2005 at the Astumbo Gym.  Children ages 6 to 14 are welcome to join.  For more information, please call Pascual V. Artero @ 720-9712 or Joe Cepeda @ 646-4918.

The WIC (Women, Infant & Children) Farmers Market Nutrition Program is open on Mondays from 8 am to 12:30 pm in front of the Northern Regional Public Health Center.  The farmers are also available at the Dededo Flea Market on Saturday and Sunday mornings.  This Farmers Market is open to all residents from the northern area.

The Dededo Flea Market is open on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 5 am to 10 am.  Residents throughout the island can find some great deals at the flea market.  Space permits for the Flea Market should be paid for in advanced at the Mayor's Office on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 8 am to 4 pm.  Cost is $5 per space per day.

Games for the Filipino Amateur Basketball League is held on Sundays from 12 noon to 8 pm at the Astumbo Gym.  This league will be played until August 2005.  Residents are encouraged to come out to watch the games and cheer on your favorite teams.
